Emily's Table

Not long ago I posted a super cute lamp that I had done for my little friend Emily (I say little as in younger, but she is taller than me - lol!).  You might remember that I said I had some other projects I was working on for her.  Well, this is one of them.  She needed a small table for her room and she wanted it to be white. In the back of my mind, I'm thinking I have the perfect one if I can just make it work.

I had picked up this cute table at my local Goodwill. You can't tell in this picture below because I have it all propped up, but the legs were broken on it.  In fact I had a really hard time snapping the picture before it fell over.  When I bought it my thought was even if I couldn't get the legs back on I could use them to make really cute dragonflies like my friend Lucy over at Lucy Designs. (BTW, if you haven't seen Lucy's stuff, you really need to hop over there and check it out! She is like sooooo super talented and comes up with way cool stuff!!) But thanks to a little help from my hubby I got the legs back on and got her all painted.  The only hard part was she did not want it distressed. NONE, NADA, ZILCH!! That's right, NO distressing. People, do you know how hard that is for me??? And no other touches of color. I had also envisioned all kinds of lovely details, I mean it had so many possibilities. But, nope, she wanted it just plain white. hmmm....

Well, Emily was right, it is beautiful just plain white!  Very elegant and perfect for a young girl's room!

(Although I must admit I'm a little disappointed I got it the legs to work because they would have been perfect for dragonflies!)
